In September of 1999, we set out on an adventure armed with the idea that we could cause change through organics. We had seen the adverse effects of chemicals on the landscape firsthand and knew that we could make a difference by bringing the focus back to what nature intended. And so we worked toward a new concept of landscaping and lawn and garden maintenance that was based on long-forgotten ideas: that plants grow best in their native habitat, that amendments are only justified when they are truly needed, and that knowledge and attention to detail bring about the most stunning results.
And so it began eleven years ago, when we dared to build our business plan around the then unproven concept of organic landscaping and gardening. We started out with an Oldsmobile, a few shovels and plenty of knowledge, and began making it work, one yard at a time. The results spoke for themselves, and the business slowly expanded to include full-service consulting, landscaping, garden design and property maintenance, including ice and snow removal, storm water management and erosion control.
