Snow Shoveler

Snow Shovelers are responsible for the removal of snow and ice from a variety of locations including stairs, sidewalks, parking lots, driveways and decks with hand tools, power equipment, and chemicals to provide safe access to properties in our care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be available 24/7 for snow removal operations
  • Operate snow pushers, snow shovels, snow throwers, roof rakes, blowers, brooms, and spreaders safely and efficiently
  • Check and maintain equipment prior to, during, and after storm events
  • Keep records of time and tasks completed, equipment and materials used, and repairs needed
  • Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers
  • Follow all policies and procedures related to work safety
  • Dress appropriately.

Qualifications

  • Reliable
  • Valid driver's license
  • Basic knowledge of snow removal procedures
  • 1–2 years prior experience with industry training or certification is preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Regular exposure to severe weather conditions
  • Repeated performance of physical activities such as standing, walking, reaching, stooping, lifting and moving weights greater than 30 lb.
